The Big Bake at Markeaton Park 2017 – Saturday 17th to Sunday 18th June

MARKEATON PARK – DERBYSHIRE

The Great Food and Drink Festivals are delighted to present to you ‘The Big Bake’ which will take place at Markeaton Park in June (17th/18th).

There will be a host of well known celebrity bakers taking to our kitchen demonstration theatre, where they will be showing you how to make the perfect cakes and how to avoid that soggy bottom.

Event organisers promise a fantastic weekend of food and drink, cooking and baking demonstrations as well as a host of activities for the whole family.

The search is on for local budding bakers from the region to present their masterpieces ranging from Bread to Tray Bakes to compete for some fabulous prizes and be crowned champion.

Along side all of this we will have a fully licensed bars selling local ales, ciders and a wonderful array of gins and cocktails.

The event has a vast range of hot and cold food producers selling artisan products from the local region, along with a range of crafts and home and garden products.

Download Festival is a British rock festival, held annually at Donington Park in Leicestershire, England, since 2003. It is the most popular British summer rock and heavy metal festival and has hosted some of the genres’ biggest names, including Saxon, Black Sabbath, Slipknot, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Motörhead, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Def Leppard, Kiss, Judas Priest, Status Quo, Mötley Crüe, Journey, ZZ Top, Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy, and Guns N’ Roses.

 

 

Ruddfest 2017 – Thursday 1st June to Sunday 4th June

RUDDINGTON – NOTTINGHAM

Ruddfest, Ruddington’s annual beer and cider festival, will be making a welcome return Thursday 1st June to Sunday 4th June, with over 150 tipples on offer for thirsty visitors to enjoy.

As in previous years, the festival will be celebrating local products, with many of the ales and ciders sourced from East Midlands breweries including Castle Rock, Shipstone’s, Navigation, Nottingham Brewery and The Bottle Kicking Cider Company, to name just a few.

You’ll also find information at each participating pub’s own website and social media pages, and at the official Ruddfest website, www.ruddfest.co.uk.
